Log in to Reply Anonymous says: December 16, 2011 at 1:26 PM Thanks for such a great article. It gave me a reall aha moment – that fear of intimacy is fear of abandonment and rejection. I’m sure I’ve heard that before but your article helped to sink it in. (T-Girl) Log in to Reply Coach Mary says: December 16, 2011 at 2:19 PM T-Girl, Thanks for stopping by and I’m so happy to hear that it helped. For me, fear of intimacy ws centered around fear of loss (abandonment). Doing these exercises has really helped to heal that in me. For the first time in my life, I really feel like I can “Hold on Loosely” as the .38 Special song suggests. Have you heard it? “Hold on loosely, but don’t let go. If you cling too tightly, you’re gonna lose control.” I was definitely feeling out of control where my relationships were concerned. Hang in there. I’ll be posting another article (probably tomorrow, because I’m really excited about it and can’t hardly wait) that might help enlighten you around this a little more. Thanks so much for your feedback. It’s greatly appreciated! The “mirror effect” is something that’s showing up hugely in my life right now, or maybe it’s just a matter of my becoming more cognizant of it. Thanks for the feedback. I promised I would go first in the “defining your style homework assignment” (and I needed to test the comments section anyway.) Feel free to engage your friends in helping you to define your Unique Style – I did. Here’s what we came up with – “biker chic” meaning whips, chains, low cut tops and micro mini skirts (just kidding). It’s more leather and denim with a european flair. I love leather jackets and tops with grommets or some kind of metal toward the shoulder line – to help accentuate my assets, of course. By the way – thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy this exercise. xoxox, Merry Log in to Reply OwnYourConfidence says: January 14, 2013 at 8:17 AM Who has a niche?! Tell us about it! Do you think it’s worth investing in? Log in to Reply Merry Mary says: March 25, 2013 at 4:40 PM Hi Lisa and thanks for leaving a comment! The answer to your question is: that depends. If you’re a little impatient like me and don’t want to wait a few weeks to get through everything, then yes. It’s a very small investment considering the great information that’s offered. If you have a little more patience and time is not an issue for you, then it’s probably not. For me personally, I’d grab a copy so I always have a copy handy. People change, as do their habits. So it’s likely it will come in handy again in the future. And as much as I’d like to think this site will be around forever, the reality is: I can’t guarantee it. ENTPs are inspired innovators, motivated to find new solutions to intellectually challenging problems. They are curious and clever, and seek to comprehend the people, systems, and principles that surround them. Open-minded and unconventional, Visionaries want to analyze, understand, and influence other people. ENTPs enjoy playing with ideas and especially like to banter with others. They use their quick wit and command of language to keep the upper hand with other people, often cheerfully poking fun at their habits and eccentricities. Log in to Reply Omar says: May 3, 2013 at 4:34 AM Then you need to consider your budget and how much you need to spend on a monthly basis on your internet set-up. You should pay attention to how your website ranks for various keyword phrases (I recommend the use of Google’s Webmaster Tools), but you don’t want to stress out about this. Therefore, it is recommended that you shuffle among the different internet marketing training courses and then select the most suitable one for you. Log in to Reply Merry Mary says: May 4, 2013 at 11:10 AM I like Google’s Keyword Tool, but not as a standalone. I check most of my keywords with both Google’s tool and KeywordSpy. KeywordSpy actually shows you how many CPC ads there are for a keyword and how many are profitable, so I find that using both gives me a little better insight as to how difficult it will be to rank for the word. For you readers to whom this sounds Greek, feel free to ask questions and I’ll do my best to explain. As to the different internet marketing training courses, of course I recommend my own because I know what’s in them has worked for me. That being said, always do your due diligence when buying a training course. I’ve gotten a lot of courses myself and some of them are just filled with a bunch of fluff that most two year olds would know. As well as offering courses of my own, I make recommendations on courses I’ve found useful and if I can get permission to do so, I actually offer them for sale in Our Shop. Be sure to check it out if you’re in the market for some good internet business training. Thanks for stopping by Omar and double thanks for leaving a comment. I actually created an entire ecourse around creating content that gives tons of powerful ideas for different kinds of posts you can write and even an insider’s secret on how to have free content delivered to your inbox every day that you can simply copy and paste. Oh yes – I have lots of tips. What I’ll share with you here though – is don’t be afraid to share other peoples’ information on your blog. Oprah created an empire around introducing us to different experts. And use video. If you can’t, don’t want to or aren’t sure how to create your own videos, share videos from YouTube that your readers will find useful. You should also aim to have some more lengthy posts (1,000 words or more) as well as shorter posts (around 400 words). I hope this helps! I believe that as our Father, God wants us to have good things. I’d be hesitant to say that abundance is our birthright, however, because God is our Father. What I mean is that a good father won’t give his children something that’s not good for them, regardless of how much they want it. He provides what they need. Likewise, God will never give you something that will take you away from Him because He knows He is what we need most. The disciples don’t seem to have ever been rich and their lives certainly weren’t easy, but God gave them an abundance of His love and power (I know I sometimes view abundance as only monetary) that more than made up for what they lacked in money or physical well-being. A second point is that God wants us to desire Him more than anything. Many times, the Bible says that God will bless the just and those who seek Him. Just as a good father wouldn’t reward their child for being in outright rebellion against him (and I am by no means saying you are; it sounds like you’re not, this is simply a rebuttal against the birthright position), so God won’t reward us if we’re not living according to His will. That means following Him and seeking Him more than we seek His blessings. If abundance, be it monetary, physical health, great relationships, etc., is good for your relationship with God and you’re walking with Him, then He’ll give it. I think it is only the other forms of abundance, particularly your knowledge of Him and faith in Him, that are guaranteed birthrights because those will only ever draw you closer to Him. Just my two cents. I wish you the best, and thanks for commenting on my blog. Log in to Reply Merry Mary says: May 31, 2013 at 9:05 AM I asked for your two cents, John so thank you for providing it. I guess my take on this is that although I can’t know God’s will, I don’t believe it’s his will that any of us live in lack. If we do, I believe like you, that there is a reason for it however I also believe the fact that all we have to do is pray and ask believing and it will be granted to us. I don’t care what the situation is – as you pointed out in some of your posts – God can move heaven and earth. He can make things happen that people will tell you is impossible. The key to it all is believing. So if we ask and accept that abundance – which in my mind is simply lack of lack – is your birthright, then whatever needs to happen to make that a reality… It will happen. Whether it be that you need to draw closer to God, or become a missionary or whatever needs to happen – things will begin to line up to make it happen. Now how it turns out will also be dependent upon your willingness to listen to that still small voice and take action. If you are called upon to act then you must take action. Even if you miss an opportunity though, if you continue believing and being willing to act on opportunities when they arise, you will get what you truly believe in your heart you already have. For me – that’s abundance – in my definition of it. I believe we desire things for a reason too. I don’t know about you, but I have no desire to be a millionaire and live in a mansion. For me, that’s not what abundance is. All around me in nature – I see abundance. Some of it good, some of it bad. That’s why I specify in my version of the Abundance Prayer that surely only good will follow me all the days of my life. No offense to you and my bf, John, but if you two want to believe that abundance is not our Divine Birthright and to live in lack, then you two have at it. I’ve very little understanding of computer programming however I was hoping to start my own blog soon. Anyway, if you have any recommendations or techniques for new blog owners please share. I know this is off subject but I simply needed to ask. Thank you! Log in to Reply Merry Mary says: June 20, 2013 at 6:37 PM Hey Darnell, Yes and no. There is actually a lot to it if you’re using your website for business, I’m in fact, in the process of setting up some internet business training for those just getting started online to help them shorten their learning curve. It took me two full years to figure out all the steps and I learn more everyday! Tips for new blog owners would depend on their intentions for their blog but I’ll be happy to help if you’d like to give me a little more info. Log in to Reply Merry Mary says: June 22, 2013 at 1:31 PM Hi Darnell – thank you! It depends on what your plans on for your blog how much work it requires. If you’ve looking to sell products and services, it can be quite a handful. If you’re just starting out, with little computer programming understanding, I would recommend WordPress.com or Blogger. I think WordPress is a little easier to use and easier to customize, but blogger has some good stuff going on. The best part is no programming skills are necessary for either one of them. You can have your very own blog setup in a matter of minutes. If you’re looking to make money from your blog, I’ve actually just started a couple of training programs for those new to building an online business and feeling overwhelmed by the technology. You can find more info on those here: Coaching and Training I hope this helps. ~M Log in to Reply Lunette says: June 9, 2013 at 5:53 PM Hello would you mind stating which blog platform you’re working with? I’m planning to start my own blog soon but I’m having a tough time making a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something completely unique. P.S My apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask! What I’m most excited about are the possibilities it holds for promoting my own products. But I haven’t gotten that far yet. Have you checked into it? Log in to Reply Victor says: August 6, 2013 at 9:09 PM Howdy just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The text in your post seem to be running off the screen in Internet explorer. I’m not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to do with web browser compatibility but I thought I’d post to let you know. The design look great though! Hope you get the problem fixed soon. Cheers Log in to Reply Merry Mary says: August 11, 2013 at 10:31 AM Hey Victor, Thanks for the heads up. Is mine the only site you’re having issues with in Explorer? I stopped using Explorer because everything I looked at seemed to be jacked up when I used it. I have no idea how to fix it since I don’t have the problem in any other browser. I figure someday MS will figure it out and until then I just have to suffer through it. Again, thanks for the heads up and cheers back to you. xoxox, Merry Log in to Reply Maricruz says: August 7, 2013 at 6:07 AM Greetings! Very helpful advice in this particular article!
